Laila N. Sedhom, RN, MSN, PhD, attended the Higher Institute of Nursing/ Faculty of Nursing at Alexandria University in Egypt, and was awarded her Bachelor degree of Science in Nursing as well as her Master of Science degree in Public Health Nursing with emphasis on Maternal Child Health. Upon relocating to the United States, Laila completed her PhD in Nursing Research and Theory Development at New York University. She remains at the forefront of her challenging field via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations, such as the New York State Nurses Association and the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists. As a result of her outstanding performance in the field of nursing, The International Nurses Association (INA) has selected Laila N.
